高职学生通过阅读附带习得词汇的实证研究

摘    要:对高职院校非英语专业大学生在不同阅读条件下的词汇附带习得进行了实证研究,主要发现有:(1)高职学生通过阅读可以附带习得词汇;(2)在三种阅读条件下,提供页边注释更有利于学生通过阅读附带习得词汇;3)学生的词汇量越大,词汇附带习得和保持的效果越好。

Abstract:The present paper is an empirical study on incidental vocabulary acquisition by reading of vocational college students,and the major findings are: 1) Vocational students can acquire vocabulary incidentally by reading;2) Under the three reading situations,the provision of marginal glosses is the most effective way in promoting incidental vocabulary acquisition;3) Learners with large vocabulary size obtain and retain more words than those with small vocabulary size.
