| Abstract: | The high-temperature, vapour-phase reaction of carbon disulphide with 2-isopropyl-phenol and with o-methylbenzyl alcohol in the presence of various catalysts gave high yields of 3-methylbenzo[b]furan and dihydrobenzo[c]thiophene, respectively. |
