Research on Designing LCD Driver in Embedded Control System

After solved the problems on how to pick-up printing matrix and build mini printing matrix library in previous，this article would discuss how to design LCD driver．LCD is always made up of three main components--controller，drive circuit and display screen．You can use the same driver for different LCDs as long as the controller iS the same．Based on the inner structure of LCD，it is always divided into three main types- -TN，STN and TFT．And based on the functions of LCD．it iS always divided into character LCD and graphics LCD．Character LCD can only display characters，that means can only display English or some special characters and several Chinese characters．But these kinds of LCD are easy to program and the price is very low．Graphics LCD can display all the Chinese characters and alI kinds of curves．Even the types and functions of LCD are different，the common rules and methods introduced in this article will help you to develop your own LCD driver．
