Abstract:In this paper,the influence of basalt fiber,a new mineral fiber,on the performance of asphalt mixture is studied and demonstrated.The influence of fiber's own performance on asphalt mixture is analyzed from the high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance of the fiber,and the benign effect produced by the combination of fiber and aggregate in the mixture is studied.The action mechanism of basalt fiber to improve the performance of asphalt mixture is expounded from these two angles.According to the action mechanism and the road performance of asphalt mixture with different content,the performance and economic benefit of basalt fiber asphalt mixture with 0.3%~0.4%content are better.
