Bounds on System Lifetime |

| Abstract: | Bounds are given for moments of the time to failure of systems composed of independent components. Improved bounds on the mean and on the reliability for series and parallel systems are obtained for systems composed of independent components with increasing hazard rate and increasing hazard rate average. |
