Laboratory Study on the Acidizing of Retarded Acid

Four kinds of retarded acids were prepared based on the nature of the rock cores. The retarding properties and dissolution of the acids were also investigated. The results showed that hydrochloric acid and NH4HF2 had increased dissolution and retarded effects with the increase of amount of above chemicals. Two kinds of acidic solutions with better effects were selected, which were 10% CL ＋ 5% HCl ＋ 6% NH4HF2 and 5% CL ＋ 10% HCl ＋ 6% NH4HF2. The former had better dissolution and retarding effects for long 14#2, the latter had better dissolution and retarding effects for Baima 8#, QiongXi 2#, long 14# Zhen. Comparison between conventional retarded acid and self - made acid was made and the dissolution rates for the two acids were 10% and 15% respectively. 1% corrosion inhibitor was added to self- made acid and its corrosion inhabitance was examined. The result showed that self- made retarded acid had lower corrosion rate.
