Abstract: | EYE MOVEMENTS OF 60 STUDENTS SCORING AT THE EXTREMITIES OF THE MA SCALE WERE MONITORED AS THEY ATTEMPTED TO LEARN COMPETITIVE AND NONCOMPETITIVE PAIRED ASSOCIATE LISTS. RESPONSE VIEWING WAS PREDOMINANT ON THE FORMER LIST WHILE STIMULUS VIEWING PREDOMINATED ON THE LATTER, THESE EFFECTS BEING MORE PRONOUNCED FOR HIGH ANXIETY SS.
