Optimizing equipment parameters of SH626 thin plate cut-tobacco dryer to reduce over-dried cut tobacco

Abstract:  Objective  This study aims to reduce the over-dried cut tobacco of SH626 thin plate cut-tobacco drier.  Methods  Through the water adding test, the effects of equipment parameters on the over-dried cut tobacco were optimized, including the opening of the starting damper of the thin plate cut-tobacco drier, the temperature-rise time of the thin plate at the head, and the starting time of damping material. The temperature-rise time of the thin plate at the head was studied, and three delayed temperature-rise procedures were designed, namely, gradual temperature rise, delayed immediate temperature rise and delayed gradual temperature rise.  Results  ① The effect of artificial water addition was significant, and the over-dried cut tobacco were significantly reduced, but macula and water wet mass easily occurred n; ②The opening of the start-up damper is reduced, which helps to reduce the dry head; ③The three kinds of delay heating procedures, namely, head gradual heating up, delayed immediate heating up and delayed gradual heating up, are beneficial to reduce the dry head, but the effect is the best under the delayed gradual heating-up procedure. Then, based on the delayed gradual heating-up procedure, the temperature rise time of head sheet is optimized to reduce the dry head; ④The start time of damping material is reduced, which helps to reduce the dry tail.  Conclusion  Through program design and optimization of equipment parameters, the optimal equipment control parameters for producing over-dried cut tobacco with moisture content below 10% are obtained, and the over-dried cut tobacco amount is reduced to 0.55%, the quality stability of cut tobacco after drying is improved.
