| Abstract: | A series of new acylamide derivatives with piperidine, pyrrolidinyl and alanyl have been tested for their hypoglycemic activities. 2-(Pyrrolidynyl)-N-(3-chlorophenyl) acetamide and 2-(Piperazinyl)-N-(4-methoxy phenyl) acetamide were found most active hypoglycemic compounds. Probably the amides have mode of action similar to sulphonylureas. |
