| Abstract: | Ethyl chloroacetate was synthesized from chloroacetatic acid and ethyl alcohol in the presence of catalyst cerium sulphate crystal (Ce(SO 4) 2·4H 2O). The influence of reaction conditions were investigated and optional condition was obtained. The results of the study indicate that cerium sulphate crystal holds high catalytic activities. |
