Abstract:To provide theoretical foundation and convenient way for the determination of thermal processing technology of Al-Cu-Mg-Ag alloy,the processing maps of this alloy were obtained from the thermal deformation experiment data,based on the dynamic material model(DMM) and Ziegler instability criterion,and the hot deformation behavior was characterized by the analysis of the processing maps.The results show that there are two unstable regions at 300~400 ℃ and 0.1~10 s-1 and at 450~500 ℃ and 1.0~10 s-1.The temperature of 350~450 ℃ and the strain rate of 0.001 s-1 are recommended.
