The dynamic changes of network connection and configuration in mobile computing environments cause that the embedded mobile database are able to handle all kinds of transactions effectively. The database should be universal, use resources more efficiently, tailor or port on various embedded systems conveniently, and be secure and flexible enough to work behind different applications. The architecture of commercial embedded mobile database that has already appeared briefly at present is introduced, and its deficiency in disposing and meeting the demand in function is analysed, An embedded mobile database is proposed, which will resolve some of the important issues on architecture caused by the mobile computing environment using a component based approach.
