Study on the Maximum Swing and Location of the Axis of Large Vertical Units

It is discovered that the error is great when the maximum swing and location of the axis are determined by traditional methods. This error and its influence on erection are analyzed with some examples. And the formulas are deduced to exactly calculate the swing and location from those measured by traditional methods. This methods is useful for the quality control of the axis swing.
