三峡工程从根本上改变了川江航运面貌

三峡双线五级船闸经过十年建设和一年的试运行检验，2004年7月8日，通过了国务院长江三峡二期工程船闸验收委员会的正式验收，三峡船闸具备在135至139米水位下正式通航的条件。在试运行的一年里，通过三峡船闸的货物多达3000多万吨，超过了葛洲坝工程建成以来年通过葛洲坝船闸1800万吨的最高水平，显示了三峡船闸的吞吐能力和船闸设计、施工水平。由于三峡水库蓄水后，航运条件得到改善，运输量特别是货运量大增，川江航道成为长江最繁忙的水运线，首次进入国内最发达的水运航运线行列。三峡船闸的运行压力很大。许多人关心船闸的设计规模是否合理，船闸能否适应川江航运未来发展，如何确保船闸安全，对此，本刊编辑部请三峡二期工程船闸验收委员会副主任、验收专家组组长、两院院士潘家铮对上述问题进行了解答。

Three Gorges Project changed the navigation of the Chuan Jiang River

Three Gorges Project shiplock, after one year of test operation, passed the final acceptance by a special group of experts on 8 July 2004, concluded the test operation started on 17 June 2003 by official operation of the shiplock. In the past year of test operation, 30 million ton of goods passed through the shiplock, which testified its high capability of navigation and level of design and construction. Because of the construction of Three Gorges Project shiplock, the conditions of navigation of Yangtze River (Chuan Jiang River) is improved, and it will satisfy the navigation of Chuan Jiang River in the future. From now on, more emphases shall be put to safety of operation of the shiplock.
