| Abstract: | The two stage detection system - new skin test for testing mechanical irritations though textiles developed by Hohenstein Institutes is described. With the system mechanically caused skin irritations, which are for example caused by protruding textile fibers, can be unequivocally detected. The new test method fills the gap in the area of skin irritations due to mechanical textile influence and lays a further building block towards answering the question of textile skin compatibility. |
