古城保护实践的系统性思考

古城保护是城市规划建设的难题．从其历程到现实．需要加强系统性的研究与实践，人们习惯重视点到面的保护工程．但如何真正解决古城的功能问题．降低古城空量，挖掘古城内涵．弘扬古城特色尚缺乏系统思考。笔者试图通过对古城保护实践的系统性思考，以示增强城市规划设计．规划决策、规划实施的系统性研究．进一步发挥城市规划在古城保护领域的核心作用．使古城保护走上可持续之路。

The Systematic Reflections on the Conservation of Ancient Cities

City is a complicated maga-system.Urban planning, as a coordinating tool for ur-ban development and change, takes on demandof systematic character. The conservation ofancient cities is a big problem in urban plan-ning and construction, the evolution and realityof which should be studied systematically.People are accustomed to focus on conservationfrom point to surface, but the question lies inhow to solve the functional problem, how tolower the density, how to excavate the connota-tions and how to raise the historic characteris-tics of ancient city. Based on the systematic re-flections of the practices of ancient city conser-vation and the systematic studies of urban plan-ning and design, planning decision-making, andthe operation of the planning, the author sug-gests that the core role of urban planning in theconservation of ancient cities be enhanced tomake ancient cities sustainable.
