On Adam Smith and Economic Liberalism

Adam Smith is pioneer of British classic political economy.In his famous work The Wealth of Nations,he demonstrated that social wealth was always driven by pursuit to self-interest,and the economic order was arranged by the so-called ＂invisible hand＂ of God.In respect of this,he was regarded as a strong advocate of free competition and limited government interference to economy.This kind of economic liberalism has a tremendous impact on later ages.
