摘    要:多气隙阻性板室(MRPC)具有效率高、时间分辨优异、性价比高以及便于大面积制造的优点,成为缪子成像技术径迹探测器的良好选择。提高MRPC的位置分辨能力,是近年来的研究重点。本文使用ANSYS Maxwell计算了MRPC的三维静电权场,在此基础上研究了在相同MRPC结构下,读出板背面接地、读出条间距以及宽度占比对MRPC位置分辨能力的影响,同时给出了改善MRPC位置分辨性能的设计建议是读出条间距1 mm、宽度占比50%~60%。

Abstract:Thanks to the high efficiency, excellent time resolution and large coverage with low cost, the multi-gap resistive plate chamber (MRPC) detector is a good detector choice for muon tomography technology. Improving the position resolution of the MRPC detector has been the focus of our research in recent years. In this paper, ANSYS Maxwell was used to calculate the three-dimensional electrostatic weighted field for MRPC detector. Based on the weighted field calculated, the effects of grounding of the back layer of the readout board, the readout strip pitch and the ratio of strip width in strip pitch on position resolution of the MRPC detector were studied for the same detector structure. Some design suggestions for improving MRPC’s position resolution that the readout strip pitch is 1 mm and the ratio of strip width in strip pitch is 50%-60% were given.
