| Abstract: | A mechanical model of sliding column which had been presented in Machine Tool Fixture Design 1,2] is analysed. The analysis shows its mistake that the sliding column bears an unbalance force system. A mechanical model based on balance force system is set up and the corresponding mechanical formulas are deduced. |
