大学英语写作中的中文迁移作用

语言迁移在外语学习中起着相当复杂的作用。目前这方面的研究主要侧重两种语言和文化的对比,在价值取向、语篇的宏观结构方面的差异及这些差异所带来的影响等方面做的研究则较少。本文分析了非英语专业的大学生的作文中所出现的错误及一些不符合英语表达之处,来探讨中文在学生的写作中的迁移作用,指出除了语言规则的干扰,学生更多地受到中国文化扣中文思维模式的影响,并且提出了教学中的相应对策。

Learners' mother tongue transfer in college English composition

Language transfer is regarded as an important aspect in the present SLA research, most of which focuses on the contrastive analysis between the mother tongue and the target language, and between their cultures. This article, based on the analysis of the students' compositions, tries to investigate the negative transfer of Chinese on the students' writing of English. It is found that negative transfer not only happens in the aspect of the learner's native linguistic knowledge such as grammatical rules and lexical notions, but more importantly, in the aspects of cultural conventions and thinking patterns .It is also found that negative transfer of linguistic knowledge decreases with the learners' improvement in language competence while the other two aspects have no obvious decrease.
