| Abstract: | The airborne laser (ABL) is planned for intercepting ballistic missiles in the boost phase. Through introducing the ABL project and its final goal, the paper analyses the constituents of ABL and the function of each unit, then gives a statement of the development program and the forecasts of its future advancement. |
