Chlorinated Phenoxaphosphine and 9-Methylenexanthene

2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorophenoxaphosphine (Ic), 2,3,6,7,11-pentachloro-9-methylenexanthene (Id) and 2,3,6,7-tetrachloro-9-bromomethylenexanthene (If) have been prepared by the aluminium chloride catalysed condensation of 3,4-dichlorophenyl ether (II) with phosphorus trichloride, chloroacetyl chloride and bromoacetyl chloride, respectively.
