在国内，采用先纤到楼以太入户（FTTB＋LAN）技术的宽带网络是目前宽带网络的一种主流方式。在其运营过程中，对宽带网络设备、通信链路和设备外部环境的管理和控制是一种经常性和必不可少的工作。论文设计提出的机房管理中的网络监控管理系统．为目前国内常用宽带模式的网络监控提出了一种解决方式。它基于接收MCS型网管模块采集的网络数据，用于监测网络状态。并且配合网管系统在故障出现时启动报警系统，达到对网络设备、通信链路和外部环境的管理和控制。
