| 摘 要： | 通过对中西方传统城市在空间形态和社会文化层面的分析比较，指出中国传统空间布局的线性本质，并对中国古代城市广场的存在性，对线性空间的产生发展原因及其在当代城市建设中的价值进行了评价和思考。

| Abstract: | Based on the analysis and comparison on space form and social cultural aspect between Chinese and Western traditional cities,the author points out the linear essence of Chinese traditional space layout,and gets evaluation and thinking on Chinese old city square's existence,production and development causes of linear space,and its value in modern city construction. |
