摘    要:矢量场可视化是科学计算可视化研究的重要方向.对于复杂环境条件下大数据量矢量场的可视化,传统的方法运算量大,实时性难以满足要求.以空间晶体生长实验中的流场数据可视化为应用背景,针对目前常用方法的不足,引入了一种全新的基于图像的流场可视化方法--IBFV方法,并对该方法的机理进行了深入地分析和研究,给出了一种基于OpenGL图形库的简单实现算法,最终应用于布里奇曼晶体生长实验中流场数据的实时动态显示.实践证明此方法独立于流场数据,具有良好的适用性和直观性,并具有极高的速度,在当前普通PC机上可以实现50fps的动态显示帧频,得到连续无抖动的流场动态图像仿真.

Abstract:Visualization of flow field is an important direction in the study of scientific computation visualization. For visualization of large vector-datasets in complex environment, traditional methods are mostly computationally expensive, while the real-time performance is still dissatisfying. Based on the background of visualization of flow data in crystal growth experiment, this paper introduces a new image based method for the visualization of fluid flow, which is superior to ordinary methods. After deeply analyses and researches on the mechanism of IBFV, this paper presents a simple realization algorithm based on OpenGL, and the dynamic visualization of the flow data in Bridgman crystal growth experiment is completed . Experiments have verified that this method is unattached with flow data as well as being widely applicable with high efficiency. Typical performance on standard PCs is 50 fps, and continuous dynamic image simulation can be attained.
