Rough Set Approach to Partnership Selection in Formation of Virtual Enterprises

Rough set theory is applied to partnership selection in formation of virtual enterprises. A rough set approach for partnership selection is presented. The decision system of partnership selection is established by using the sample sets of the potential partnership enterprises. The evaluation indexes are expressed as attributes of the decision system, from which the important attributes are extracted and the knowledge rules of partnership selection are induced. Those rules describe the essential characteristics between the attributes of the decision system. The partners are effectively selected from the other samples in partnership selection database by using those rules. An example of enterprises partnership selection is given to show the reasonableness and effectiveness of the proposed method.
