二维光子晶体耦合器耦合特性分析

摘    要:基于平面波展开法计算了光子晶体能带结构和带隙分布图,利用FDTD对具有四方晶格的光子晶体耦合器的传输特性进行了研究,讨论耦合作用长度和耦合臂间距对耦合比的影响,并给出传输场分布.研究结果显示,光子晶体可以实现耦合器的功能,耦合作用长度比耦合臂间距对耦合特性影响大,耦合臂间距达到一定程度则不会发生耦合.适当的设计耦合器耦合作用长度和耦合臂间距可以实现任意分光比的光耦合器,这些对于研究光子晶体器件和光子集成回路具有一定的参考价值.

Abstract:The structure and band gap distribution of a photonic crystal's energy band were calculated using the plane wave expansion method.The transmission property of a photonic crystal coupler with square lattices was studied using the finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method.The effects of coupling,interaction length,and waveguide-channel space on the coupling ratio are discussed,and the transmission field distribution is given.The results indicate that the photonic crystal can function as a coupler.The performance of the coupler is more sensitive to the coupling interaction length than the waveguide-channel space.The coupling will disappear gradually when the waveguide-channel space increases.With appropriate coupling interaction length and waveguide-channel space,the coupler can achieve any coupling ratio.
