An estimate of the effect of the relative dimensions of a standard and the target on the accuracy of the determination of the scattering characteristics of radar targets

A method of estimating the error in measuring the effective scattering surface of a target by the substitution method, resulting from the difference in the linear dimensions of the target and a standard reflector is described.
