Abstract:In order to study influence of Cu element on the heat resistance property of AMS6308 steel,microstructure and mechanical properties of AMS6308 steel which contains 2%Cu element and steel without Cu as the contrastive test steel at different tempering temperature was studied by SEM,TEM,EBSD,phase analysis and mechanical properties test. And the effect of Cu on increasing temper-resistant of AMS6308 steel was discussed. The results show that strength rises first and then declines with increasing tempering temperature. Maximum peak of strength appears at 450 ℃ tempering temperature. At the whole tempering temperature range,AMS6308 steel has higher strength than steel without Cu. When tempering temperature below 400 ℃,the element Cu promotes strength and temper-resistant depending on the effect of solution strengthening of Cu,enhancing precipitation strengthening of M6C phase and refined crystalline strengthening. And enhancing precipitation strengthening of M6C phase is the main strength method. When tempering temperature exceed 400 ℃,the element Cu promotes strength and temper-resistant depending on the effect of precipitation strengthening of ε-Cu phase. The interaction effect of ε-Cu phase and dislocation produces strong precipitation strengthening and makes the steel maintaining relatively completed lath structure at higher tempering temperature.
