Measuring and analysis methods applied to on-line vibration and noise monitoring in PWR power plants

Measurements and analyses performed in a PWR plant are discussed in the light of their relevance for application to an on-line monitoring system. This is achieved by extensive investigation during the preoperational tests. The results gained are transferred to the situation existing during full power operation by means of spectral analysis and correlation techniques. Theoretical models provide further proof of the results. The final conclusions show the consequences for establishing an on-line monitoring system.
