Abstract:Based on 10 return strokes of one artificially triggered lightning T179,the interaction of two independent ground networks and the characteristics of transferred ground potential(TGP)under the action of lightning current are analyzed,and the energy of SPD impacted by TGP is calculated and evaluated through the impulse low-voltage power surge protector(SPD).The results show that the generated peak TGP voltage at the ground network 40 m away is relatively large,reaching–10.9 kV on average.There is a very good positive correlation between the peak TGP voltage and the peak triggered lightning current with the correlation coefficient R2 reaching 0.97.The energy of impacting SPD is relatively small,with the average value of 10 return strokes being 1.5 J.It is therefore very safe to install SPD surge protector for electronic equipment.
