| Abstract: | To investigate the effect of nitroprusside on gap junctions of tracheal smooth muscle cells, we ionophoretically injected sodium nitroprusside into single tracheal smooth muscle cells excised from rats. The input resistance of the tracheal smooth muscle cells increased after the injection of nitroprusside. This results suggests that nitroprusside blocks gap junctions of tracheal smooth muscle cells. |
