Abstract: | Alloys based on the Al-Si-Ge system are studied in order to design solders with a liquidus temperature lower than 570°C. Electron-probe microanalysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and X-ray diffraction analysis are used to optimize the solder composition and the process of solder production. Quantitative phase analysis methods, which are based on an experimental determination of the lattice parameters of the phases and their diffraction line intensities, are developed for these alloys. |
