| Abstract: | This paper introduces an information-based energy monitoring and management system which is based on the large amount and extensive distribution of the energy data acquisition points in the fifth cold-rolling region of the Baosteel. Real time monitoring of the energy consumption at each point provides the basis for process optimization and cost reduction. |
