Abstract:Based on the transmission demands and characteristics of UHV ultra-long span optical communication system and the problems existing in the daily operation and management, this paper put forward the suggestion that a small-scale aerial relay station should be mounted on the tower directly. It discusses the feasibilities of transmission and power sup- ply system of the repeater station, outside environment adaptation, and tower upgrading, introduces the system configuration, system model and site test results, and analyses the economic feasibility on the application. It provides a new idea for UHV ultra-long span optical communication system.
