Principles and Research on Root Alarm Diagnosing in Power Communication Network

Power communication network is comprised of a large number of interconnected communication equipments and cable （microwave） lines. A component failure of the network may involves several devices and links, which might give rise to a large amount of derivative alarms. This paper proposes the diagnosing model of root alarm based on alarm cor- relation. At first, the correlations among the warning data of power communication network are analyzed. The analytical model of alarms correlation is established and its technical proposal is raised. Then the paper presents the functional structure and analysis process of the diagnosing model of root alarm. Finally, the diagnosing model of root alarm is validated in SDH over DWDM system. The experiment has proved that the diagnosing model of root alarm is effective and has a high rate of accuracy.
