Abstract:Considering the economy and security of the operation of power system,a semidefinte programming(SDP) model for dynamic optimal power flow(DOPF) problem with unit commitment(UC),named as DOPF-UC,is set up in this paper,which is directly solved by the interior-point method(IPM) on the base of the SDP.The proposed method is applied for the DOPF-UC problems due to its excellent convergence and the ability in handling the discrete variables by a modification strategy and no requirement of the model decomposition,which can be finished within polynomial time.In order to increase the calculation speed,the sparse technology of block matrix operation of SDP is adopted.Four different size test cases from 6 to 118 buses over 24 hours are used to simulate,and the result verifies the accuracy,effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.Therefore,the research and application of the SDP-based method for DOPF-UC has a good prospect.
