To build the transmission channel of intelligent distribution network by wireless broadband technology

The communication transmission platform of smart grid enables normal operation of distribution system, accident monitoring, protection, control and distribution management. It has become an important support of the production dispatching of smart distribution network. Shaoxing Electric Power Bureau ideally solved the ＂last mile problem＂ of smart distribution network by using wireless broadband technology. This paper described the wireless broadband access system constructed by Shaoxing Electric Power Bureau. This system successfully achieved wireless access of smart distribution network communication, met the requirements of more rapid, convenient and secures data transmission. It also provided many value-added services and advanced applications for power grid. Furthermore, this paper focused on the technical characteristics of the wireless access network, networking method, security considerations and outlined the future technolo- gy development.
