Abstract: | The paper is concerned with a study in which a contribution was assessed of the prostacyclin-thromboxane system to the development of disturbances in bronchial patency in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. It has been established that the prostacyclin-thromboxane system has an active part to play in the evolution and formation both the pattern of the tuberculous process and ventilatory disorders, the most important contribution being made by the proportion prostacyclin:thromboxane. |
