数字电视机顶盒设计及发展

摘    要:对现有的有线和卫星直播数字电视机顶盒作了功能和结构描述,并分别提出了具体的设计与实现方案,包括用LSI Logic公司的系列芯片实现的有线电视机顶盒(Cable STB)方案,以及用TI公司的单片集成STB芯片实现的卫星直播机顶盒(DBSSTB)方案。分析了交互式视频服务对机顶盒提出的功能和结构上的新要求,机顶盒除了要具有基本的节目接收功能外,还要具有与通信网关及视频服务器交互的能力。较为详细地分析了机顶盒的硬件结构、软件结构、接口标准化与互操作性等方面的进一步要求。最后,指出交互式机顶盒的良好发展前景。

Abstract:The functions and structures of the cable television set-top box (STB) and DBS STB are described. The design and implementation schemes, i.e. the scheme of the cable television STB realized with LSI Logic Corporation's series chips and the scheme of DBS STB realized with the monolithic integrated STB chips provided by TI Corporation, are proposed sepa- rately. The new requirements of the interactive video for STB both in function and structure are analyzed. That is, STB should possess the Interactive ability with communication gateway and video server besides the function of receiving TV programs. The detailed analyses for the hardware structure, software structure, interface standardization and interoperability. The development prospect of the interactive set-top box is pointed out at the end of the paper.
