Abstract:
A model for fatigue crack propagation is presented which incorporates low cycle fatigue, mechanical properties and a microstructurally-associated process zone. Comparison of the model to published date for 4340 (hard and soft), a series of TRIP steels, Ti-6A1-4V, 2024-T6 and 300 grade maraging steel shows good agreement.
