| Abstract: | This article explores the potential to use landscape design as a tool by redefining its role to re-program the urban public spaces in a context of sweeping urban development ubiquitous to Chinese cities.Eight projects by Urbanus are examined as cases that illustrate how each project can be seen as an opportunity to formulate a series of systematic urban design strategies and tactics. |
