| Abstract: | It is necessary to remove perlite when liquid leakage occurs in the cold box of an air separation unit.The paper describes the swollen distortion of the cold box during the course of removing perlite.The causes of this accident are analyzed with preventives put forward for the future.Furthermore suggestions concerning safety procedure of removing perlite from the cold box are made. |
