Practical method for connection of dead-endclamp and overhead line by hydraulic operation

The problems used to arise during pressurizing operation and its preparation work of the connection between the twisted aluminum steel core cable and the dead end clamp were described. The countermeasures for the quality of the hydraulic connecting were summarized including: the conductor stands at the connection be firmly bundled, conductor ends at the connection be well straightened, the burr and curl at the cutting surface of aluminum wire strands be well filed, the distance between the side of the steel anchor pulling ring of the dead end clamp and the aluminum pipe be well controlled, the position of pressurizing operation be correctly determined, proper steel mould should be used, the mould closing pressure value be precisely maintained, keeping both sides of the pressurizing pipe horizontal and aligned with the axis center of the hydraulic machine.
