Abstract:Standard for Design of Fire Protection for Fossil Fuel Power Plants and Substations is an important standard in the power design industry. The application scope of the 2019 edition of fire protection standard for substation is extended to 1 000 kV and below, and the minimum capacity limit of single transformer capacity is cancelled. The fire protection standard has adjusted its applicable voltage range and transformer capacity, but the relevant provisions are not adaptive;moreover, the standard is not targeted enough for small or terminal substations of 110 kV and below, which makes it difficult to implement some provisions in engineering application. This paper discusses the undefined or unclear provisions in the fire protection standard, including the fire risk classification of 110 kV and below substation buildings(structures), the properties of outdoor independent metal box buildings, fire water supply, fire protection distance of part facilities, and fire wall regulations between transformers of different sizes, etc., and puts forward suggestions for modification and improvement.
