Abstract: | One of the most interesting decision problems is how to select the most reliable design from among k competing designs. Under a Type II censoring plan, this paper constructs an MLR (modified likelihood ratio) rule associated with a simple algorithm to compute the sample size, number of failures and critical value which are called for by this rule. Besides, the performance of this selection rule was subject to several criteria to compare with the intuitive selection rule. It is seen that the MLR selection rule is better than the intuitive selection rule. |
