Discussion on the Structure of TV Set-top Box and Its Technical Inspecton

Set-top box(STB) of digital television refers to the information receiving and processing equipment with simulative television as the displaying terminal.It makes the simulative television of end-user to receive digital TV & broadcast programs interactively instead of receiving passively.Besides,it can also have access to the Internet,which gives end-user opportunity to enjoy the 'all-in-one' information service of digital TV,digital broadcast and Internet.This paper explains the structure of hardware and software system of STB as well as the basic theory and function of it.With empirical approach,the method of technical inspection and repair experience are also presented.
