Comparison between first-order digital and analogue phase-locked loops |

| Abstract: | The letter deals with a comparison between a binary quantised digital phase-locked loop and a conventional one. It is shown that, under the condition of equal acquisition times, a digital loop performs better for low signal/noise ratios. |
