西气东输二线干线西段清管作业研究与实践

Research and Practice of Pigging Operation in Western Section of West-East Gas Pipeline 2

Analyzed and studied are practices of pigging operation in western section of West-East Gas Pipeline 2.Taking pigging operation in the pipeline segment from Zhangye to Yongchang and pipeline segment from Yandun to Hongliu for an example,discussed deeply is hydrate blockage likely occurring in pigging operation.Summarized is experience in pigging operation of long-distance pipelines with large diameters and relative software is adopted to analyze and study actual process parameters of such pipelines.Analysis and study results show that hydrate inhibitor injection into pipelines in pigging process has obvious effect and the pigging effect is optimum if hydrate inhibitor injection volume is 25 %.Associated solutions are put forward for pigging operation,which will provide valuable reference for future pigging operation.
