The Development of Buried Wood Handicraft Industry in Lu Shan Area of Sichuan

The formation and development of buried wood carving handicraft industry in Lushan area of Sichuan was introduced in the paper, as well as the integration of tangible and intangible resources of wood carvings and wood culture. In order to evaluate the cluster status and lead to the solution, the author puts forward some problems existing in the development of the industry, such as the limit mining stock of some precious wood resources, sales in counterfeit wood species, single form of handicraft processing, lack of deep processing, traditional mode of operation, and homogeneous competition. Faced the depleted non-renewable buried wood resource, it is necessary to accomplish constrained exploitation and protect the scientific information of buried wood. Confronting the competition in the global market, the transparen- cy of products should be increased, the product names should be standardized, the consumers should be involved in the mode of operation and understand the process of wood carving works to enhance the interactive experience. At the same time, it would be better to make sure the resources be allocated rationally in the regional construction and integrate the entertainment with the wood culture transmission.
